Marfa is quite remote, but that’s part of the adventure! There are two main airports to get there:

El Paso International Airport (ELP):

Distance to Marfa: About 3 hours by car (190 miles).

From El Paso, you’ll drive east along I-10 before heading south on U.S. Highway 90. Along the way, you’ll pass through the dramatic Chihuahuan Desert landscapes and the wide-open skies that make this part of Texas so breathtaking.

Midland International Air & Space Port (MAF):

Distance to Marfa: About 3 hours and 10 minutes by car (200 miles).

From Midland, you’ll head south through Texas ranchland, taking Highway 17 down through smaller towns and eventually reaching Marfa. This route offers a different type of Texas scenery, with rolling hills and vast ranches.

No matter which route you take, the journey itself is part of the magic—you’ll see vast, untouched landscapes, and by the time you reach Marfa, you’ll feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem in the middle of the desert.

For those flying in, we will arrange a shuttle Friday to pick you up from either airport and again on Sunday to take you back. When you are ready to RSVP, please indicate if you would like us to schedule you on one of those shuttle routes. Once you've made it to Marfa, we will have shuttles available throughout the weekend to take you to all of the wedding events. Plus, Marfa is a small, walkable town, so you’ll be able to explore galleries, shops, and restaurants on foot :)

Temperatures in Marfa tend to be warm during the day, with highs typically ranging from 75°F to 85°F. However, the temperature drops significantly in the evenings, often dipping to 40°F to 50°F, so you’ll want to be prepared for cooler nights.
